To be a teen again! We had moved to Canada in the fall, so dealing with my first experience with a Canadian winter was quite an ordeal. I recall listening to my cousins speak about how nice it is in the warmer months and how excited they were to take me to the “wave pool”. Before that time came around, I remember one weekend they mentioned that we were going to the beach. Beach? I did pretty good in “Canadian geography” in school so I knew I had to be either on the east or west coast to see a beach. Ontario is packed with lakes and little did I know, they meant lake when they said ‘beach”. I still remember my legs going numb as I entered the water at their “beach”. Cruel joke!
But what fun did we had at the wave pool… they had to promise me it wasn’t just another lake they were taking me the first time we went that year.
Located in Confederation Park, just off Centennial Parkway in Hamilton, Wild Waterworks offers a perfect place to spend a summer day. Ride the four tube slides Night Rider, Blue Demon and Vertigo and Sidewinder, new in 2008. Go solo or with a friend!
The fun continues with the heart-pounding twists of the Corkscrew and the Kamikaze – the park’s six-storey body slides, also revamped in 2008.
Move on and surf the waves in Canada’s largest outdoor wave pool. Over a million gallons of heated water splash down every minute.
Toddlers will love Little Squirt Works, a fun wading pool with computer-controlled sprays, mists and fountains.

These prices are very expensive for a large family ,the price of the tubes also seems too much
5 kids Only 2 less than 10 and 2 parents.
any family rate??
Catherine Eitutis
These prices are very high because when you rent a tube for the day that is only 3 dollars and 75 cents less than a childs admission.
These prices are outrageous, we are taking 3 kids and 2 adults and a 1 year old. This is going to cost about 125.00 for a few hours, what’s with this tube rental stuff?
Sounds like a rip off, don’t they know we are in a recession????
WHY CANT U CHARGE $10 PER TUBE RENTAL THEN WHEN YOU RETURN THEM YOU GET $8 THATS A $2 PROFIT PER TUBE A DAY TIMES 500 PEOPLE PER DAY YOU WILL STILL MAKE &1000 A DAY JUST IN TUBE RENTALS….GREEDY PEOPLE NOW WE ARE NOT GOING TO GO TO YOUR PARK…I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU LOSE BUISNESS FROM FOR THE PRICE OF YOUR TUBES??????????????????????…..WE ARE GOING CAMPING FOR THE WEEKEND INSTEAD……3 DAYS OF FUN FOR 1 DAY OF FUN AT YOUR PLACE..WHAT A RIP OFF……..
PS AFTER PARKING, TUBE RENTALS AND ADDMITION IT WOULD COST ME A LITTLE OVER $80 FOR MY MOM, ME AND MY 6 YEAR OLD SON..INSAIN….I WO9ULD RATHER ROAST MARSHMELLOWS OVER AN OPEN FIRE….

I am really not impressed with Wild Waterworks. I’m a single mom that purchased season’s passes this year. On one occasion I had driven quite a distance to find out the park had arbitrarily decided to close early (by two hours) that day. I had arrived at 3:45pm with my son and his friends fully expecting to get in 4 hours of watersliding as the park was supposed to be closed at 8pm. So after paying full price to park we found out at 5:45pm that the park was closing at 6pm (not even informed at the gate.) And just recently I drove down to Confederation Park to go to Wild Waterworks on Monday, September 1st to find the park closed!!!!! It was beautiful and sunny and I was told at the gatehouse that they decided to close the Wild Waterworks as they had lost money the day before with bad weather and they figured because it was only supposed to get to a high of 19 degrees they would lose money so they closed it. Seriously…the season’s passes are more expensive then Wonderland and do you really think Wonderland would close it’s gates on a beautiful day when there are season’s pass holders out there???!!! To add insult to injury…I have called and left two messages over the course of the last week to speak to a manager and NO ONE HAS HAD THE DECENCY TO RETURN MY CALL…….. This purchase of season’s passes was a rather large purchase as a single mom and I have a lengthy drive to get to Wild Waterworks which costs me about $15 in gas to find the park closed and no one wants to speak to me…a customer and an unhappy one at that….Not sure what I’m going to tell my children about next season’s passes that they want me to purchase…….. maybe the newspapers need to hear about this….
It is open from 10am-8pm, closes for the season on labour day
